Sabrina Carpenter has released a new slapstick video for her Man's Best Friend hit "House Tour" ahead of her headlining Coachella performance.
The video — co-directed by Carpenter and The Substance star Margaret Qualley — plays up the song's domestic metaphor with Carpenter, Qualley, and the Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline having some good fun while breaking into and robbing a palatial mid-century modern home in Los Angeles. Carpenter brings her recognizable goofiness and penchant for antics to the video as her as her team of burglars try on clothes, take a bubble bath, nab a Grammy and generally revel in their Bling Ring-style caper. The 2013 Sofia Coppola-directed movie famously depicted the real story of a group of L.A. teens who robbed the houses of the rich and famous.
The video for "House Tour" is a family affair; co-director Qualley is married to Jack Antonoff who co-wrote and co-produced the song.
It follows other memorable music videos from Carpenter's MBF era such as the Colman Domingo co-starring video for "Tears" and the cartoonishly violent, darkly funny video for "Manchild," which launched this new era in Carpenter's career.
Stay tuned with The FADER for news on Carpenter's forthcoming Friday headlining spot at Coachella.
