R. Kelly’s Foreclosed Home is on the Market

December 15, 2011

Over the summer, we reported that R. Kelly’s 22,000-square-foot, 16 room mansion in the Illinois suburb Olympia Fields was the subject of a $2.9 million foreclosure lawsuit after he failed to make monthly mortgage payments for over a year. Now the house is for sale for $1.595 million, just a little under half of the lawsuit damages. According to the Chicago Tribune, the house's features include, "eight full baths, six half baths, four fireplaces, an indoor pool and a theater room," as well as a private lake, but you can take a tour yourself. Kelly has been in the news a lot lately, for his memoir drama, return to singing after vocal cord surgery and his steeply-priced cruise, all which very well could earn him a brand new home.
