Drake and 21 Savage dropped their collaborative album Her Loss overnight and one track is catching a lot of heat already. "Circo Loco" sees Drake rap the line: "This bitch lie about getting shot but she still a stallion," something many listeners have taken to be a thinly-veiled reference to Megan Thee Stallion. In July 2021 Megan alleged that Tory Lanez shot a loaded firearm at her after a party, wounding her in both feet. He denies all allegations with a trial due to begin in December.

Elsewhere on "Circo Loco" Drake raps, "Play your album track one, 'K I heard enough" and "Shorty said she graduated she ain't learn enough." Megan Thee Stallion graduated from Texas Southern University with a bachelor's degree in health administration in 2021.

Megan was quick to respond via social media. Though she didn't name Drake personally, she tweeted that she was tired of people using a traumatic experience in her life for attention. "Stop using my shooting for clout bitch ass Niggas! Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot!" Later adding, "When the mf facts come out remember all y’all hoe ass favorite rappers that stood behind a Nigga that SHOT A FEMALE."
