There's a grown-up-sounding sadness to Spooky Black's crooning, so it's pretty easy to forget the singer is only, like, 16. His vocals are extra haunting on the just-dropped "Worn," his first song released under his God-given name, Corbin. "Using my real name now because spooky black is a dumb name," he tweeted. When his strained sing-rapping takes an explicit turn in the track's final section, it's antagonizing but kind of heartbreaking, too. It's also one of the more interesting productions he's sung over, featuring beat-work from Wedidit dudes Shlohmo and D33J, plus members of Spooky's Minnesota-bred collective and GEN F alums, The Stand4rd.
