The rapper, formerly known as Mos Def, has partnered with the Apollo Theater and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to present his final U.S. performances. Bey will perform at The Apollo in New York City on December 21 and visit the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C for three shows from Dec. 31-Jan. 2, 2017.

Bey will perform material from a different album in his catalog, along with new material, during every performance. The New Danger, True Magic, The Ecstatic, and Black on Both Sides will all be revisited. Bey originally announced his retirement plans in January and confirmed his intentions in October around the 17-year anniversary of Black on Both Sides.
