Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's wife, will appear on Ellen Wednesday to make the donations. She will donate $100,000 to Michael Williams, a firefighter who lost his home while suppressing fires in his neighbourhood. According to TMZ's report, Kardashian will also present $200,000 to the California Community Foundation's Wildfire Relief Fund and $200,000 to the California Fire Foundation.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's property in Calabasas was very nearly overwhelmed by the fires, but the couple avoided disaster by employing a private firefighting company.

West has been on a charitable run since renouncing politics after a poorly designed logo for the far-right "Blexit" movement was incorrectly prescribed as his design. He has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to longshot Democratic mayoral candidate Amara Enyia (despite his support of President Donald Trump) and recently gave $150,000 to the family of Chicago security guard Jemel Robertson, who was shot and killed by police.
