For his first time hosting Saturday Night Live, Aziz Ansari had no qualms about challenging newly inaugurated President Trump and his supporters.

In his stand-up opening monologue, the comedian asked people to give Trump voters the benefit of the doubt, comparing them to Chris Brown listeners. “Hey man, here for the tunes, I don’t know about that other stuff... I don’t condone the extra-curriculars," Ansari joked. "If you think about it, Trump is basically the Chris Brown of politics, and ‘Make America Great Again’ is his ‘These Hoes Ain’t Loyal.'”

Ansari then addressed the rise of white supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups in the U.S. since Trump's election. He beseeched Trump to make a speech denouncing the racist movements, similar to George W. Bush’s address after the terrorist attacks on 9/11 and how it guided the public's perception of Muslims.

Ending on a hopeful note, Ansari told the people who were worried or discouraged by Trump's presidency that they were going to be okay. "Because if you look at our country's history, change doesn't come from presidents" Ansari said. "Change comes from large groups of angry people. And if Day 1 is any indication, you are part of the largest group of angry people I have ever seen. Good luck to ya." Watch above.

Aziz Ansari is the first Saturday Night Live host of South Asian descent.
